Chapter 79

The hall was packed with all manner of people, some of them looked like true criminals with tattoos on their faces while others looked mellow and calm. I wondered what some of them must have done to have landed themselves in a place like this. A young child was crying her head off by a corner and none of the adults bothered to check on her. I was about to walk to her when one of the cops held my hand.

“That’s not going to help you case.” He said coldly. Joe and Dalton had looked so calm and friendly on the way here but right now they looked no different from the criminals that were being locked up.

I nodded inn response and followed them into a hallway with doors that had tags on their wood frame. We walked down the hall until we reached a door with the tag “Interrogations”. I have never been to prison before or even stepped foot in a police station but I instantly knew this was the place I was to be questioned.
