Collin’s grandmother glared at Aubrey after she called out Scarlet who also wore a revealing outfit. However, the old woman’s glare wasn’t enough to stop Aubrey from being a bitch.
“I am just saying that our clothes shouldn’t matter at all, Granny,” she explained in a monotone without any intention to apologize.
“Don’t involve Scarlet in this, my dear. You are part of our family now even if I don’t really like you, so I will appreciate it if you will act and dress properly!”
“I will do my best, Granny,” Aubrey agreed but she was not sincere about it. Deep inside, her attitude would still depend on the people around her in the next few days.
With Collin’s intervention on time, an argument between Aubrey and his grandmother was stopped. They ate their breakfast together like one big happy family, but after breakfast, Aubrey thought Scarlet would leave.
