Chapter 29. Tonight, You Are Mine

They arrived at the venue where Hawkins welcomed them. He was surprised to see them arrive together, and she noticed it right away. She was worried about what other people might think so she asked him instead,

“Hey, Kevin. Do you think it’s okay? Won’t they notice if we arrived together?”

Hawkins wasn’t sure but Tyler seemed serious about this, “It’s alright.”

She continued to whisper to his ears, “I guess I was overthinking, he said to me it’s a tradition to pick at least one new employee as his date, so yeah, I guess, you are right.”

Hawkins looked at Tyler as he mouthed to keep his mouth shut. Hawkins didn’t say a word and agreed to what she said.

They now entered the hall and it was swarming with people flaunting all their clothes and makeup.

But as Tyler Schneider entered the room with a drop-dead gorgeous woman clinging to his left arm, girls were disappointed.

Especially Chloe’s colleagues sulked realizing who that lucky woman is with
