Chapter 36. False Alarm

His phone suddenly vibrated in his pocket while he was taking a nap beside his wife. He took it out to check on it and when he saw the doctor’s name, his heart started pounding.

He gulped at the sight of it and his brain ran wild with his imagination. There was a bit of excitement about being a father, knowing it would make his grandfather happy, but at the same time, he feared that he wasn’t ready yet.

He sighed and stood up before picking up the call, “Hello?”

“Mr. Schneider, I am just calling to follow up regarding your wife’s condition. It seemed she lacked hemoglobin so I am going to prescribe her some medicine for that. Let Hawkins pick it up in my clinic.”

Tyler sighed relief when the doctor didn’t mention the pregnancy yet. But soon after the doctor added some remarks,

“And I’m sorry to say. It’s safe to rule out pregnancy now. She’s not pregnant. But her eggs are healthy so you don’t have to worry.”
