“Chairman? I heard from my secretary. You wanted to see me?” Chloe uttered when she peeked at the door.

“Yes, yes, come in, child,” the old man answered with enthusiasm.

“So, how was your trip with Mr. Davis?” asked the Chairman.

Chloe sat on the couch and happily relayed the good news to him. The negotiation went well, and they were able to secure several partners, thanks to Vaughn.

The Chairman was quite happy to hear it, “Hmm, he seemed reliable. Good thing you secured their company as one of your project’s investors.”

Chloe was proud of herself, and she truly believed it was all thanks to her potential and her whole team. However, the Chairman had other things in mind. He could see how the man was mesmerized by Chloe’s charm.
