Chapter 101

“I am so exhausted,” Jessica said, yawning as they left the park.

After eating in the food court, they went on more rides, but this time they restricted it to kiddie rides.

“So am I,” Xavier said, continuing her yawn. She looked at him, and they both burst out laughing.

“Why are you laughing?” Jessica asked in amusement.

“Why are you laughing?” Xavier retorted.

The interaction became even funnier for both of them, and the loud laughter continued. It was the first time in the two months they had known each other that such an exchange took place. They had never laughed with each other before.

“I think we should just get takeout, as neither of us would be able to cook anything for dinner. I know I am exhausted, aren’t you?” Jessica suggested.
