For the rest of the dinner, Leslie was furious with Xavier. She could never have imagined that he was such a cold-hearted jerk. She knew he was self-important and lost in his own world, but she never thought he would be selfish.

Leslie would only get angrier if she visited Jessica the next day and Jessica said she had already signed a one-year divorce contract with Xavier. She might have been even more outraged if she knew that Jessica had not read a single line of the contract but had still signed it.

“Make him take a cab back to wherever he wants to go,” Leslie said, then opened the car door and got in.
