Chapter 96

Jessica felt her heart flutter at the gesture. Was she already getting a response to her list from yesterday? The top item on her list was a nice breakfast in bed.

She had preferred a homemade breakfast, but the thought of him making it warmed her inside, leaving her feeling fuzzy.

“What is this?” she asked as he placed it on her lap.

“As I said earlier, breakfast in bed,” he said, holding out the fork to her.

“You said you wanted it, and I said I would do them for you. Every single one of them.”

“Did you wake up at dawn to get this? Where did you even find a place open at that time?”

“Well, I did wake up at dawn, but it’s not a problem. Ever since I stopped exercising, I’ve become lazy. Maybe I’ll get back to it, and we could do it together,” Xavier started.
