“Why are you being so sweet?” she asked, snatching her hand from his.

“What do you mean?”

“They say when a person changes drastically, then they might be heading to their death,” she said out of the blue. “Are you dying by chance?” she gasped as her hands went over her mouth.

“I am not dying,” he told her, pulling her hand down and peering into her eyes.

“Your sweetness is scary. Even this trip to this park makes me wonder what is going on with you.”

“There is nothing out of the ordinary going on with me,” he laughed as he took her hands. “There would be a lot of people here who know me and, by extension, know you too. Why don’t we play the happy couple role?” he asked in a whisper.
