The elevator doors went open, allowing the two to step out. Her arm was hooked with his, and a small smile played at the corners of her mouth.
The hall was decorated in a very elegant banquet way. The way of decoration was formal and business-like, only to most who didn’t know what was happening later in the night.
Gaetano looked at her, amused by this girl. He knew taking his eyes off her all night would be hard, but she just smiled at him. A smile that always got his heart to skip a bit. “Di Martino,” the bold voice got his attention, and he looked back at the front to an old man who seemed to be in his early fifties.
A smirk invaded his lips as Larissa stared between the two. “Maurotti," Gaetano replied. His voice was cold, with not a single emotion displayed, just like his face.
The tension was high between the two, like a sharp knife cutting through space, as the two stared at each other.
