He stared at her. By now, she wasn’t sobbing anymore but looking up at the ceiling, though her tears couldn’t stop falling down her eyes. It’s like she had more to say but didn’t know how.
“Treasure,” he whispered, and she turned her head in his direction, looking directly into his eyes from where he sat staring down at her.
“Why do you call me that?” She asked, and he smirked. He didn’t expect such a question from her, especially at this moment.
He leaned close to her face, and without warning, he placed his lips on hers. She brought her arms around his neck, pulling him to her. He pulled away, just not far. Her hands were still locked behind his neck.
He raised his eyes from her lips to her eyes that held sadness.
