Chapter 5
She turned around slowly, saying a silent prayer. Her silver eyes fell on blue hazel orbs. Slightly pointed nose. Wavy brown hair and pink lips.
His tall frame, 6’2, made her feel like a tiny dwarf and his cold stare made her almost jump out of her skin.
She didn’t know or remember him, so she kept asking herself how he knew her full name.
She had just heard him discuss her father’s death back there, and that’s the least information she had about him.
She found herself looking back into his eyes.
"I…Do…I know you?” She stuttered, her soft voice catching him off guard and pulling him out of his thoughts.
He smirked at her words and took slow steps toward her, expecting her to flinch or take steps backward, but she remained still.
On a serious thought, she thought of being far away from him, but her legs seemed to have mastered a heart of their own.
