Chapter 7
Larissa shifted in bed. The little light that managed to pass through white decorated curtains illuminated the room.
Her eyes fluttered open as she wondered why Mia hadn’t woken her up for the morning jogs. Her sleepy eyes roamed around the room, making everything that had happened yesterday fall into place.
She wasn’t home in her new bed, just as she had thought. Sitting up abruptly, the pain passed through her body, and stupidly, she smiled.
The pain showed her that she was still alive and not murdered by two businessmen in black suits.
As she moved over to get off the bed, the door flew open, and a young girl in a blue uniform walked in.
She held a tray of breakfast with a small shopping bag flashing Larissa a smile.
She placed the tray on a bedside table and placed the small shopping bag on the bed. “Good morning, ma’am,” she greeted as Rissa smiled back at her.
