“Your sister Grace is busy; that’s why she can’t visit often,” Grace replied, ruffling the child’s hair, which earned a cute giggle.
However, they were interrupted by a hoarse voice, and Grace flinched. It was none other than Everett, who was in conversation with the orphanage in charge as he walked. Grace felt a pang of fear and contemplated leaving, but she was spotted by the orphanage supervisor.
“Kids, go and play,” the supervisor ordered, but the little ones were adamant.
“We want to spend time with Sister Grace,” one of them complained while the elderly lady frowned. After all, the one here was Faith, not Grace, so it puzzled her why the children called her Grace.
“Go and play; she’ll join you later,” the orphanage supervisor insisted, and the disappointed kids reluctantly walked away, yearning to spend time with their sister.
