Chapter 25
Her mood swings were glaringly obvious, and she couldn’t help but wonder what to do about them. Her heart pounded like a drum, and she clung to her pillow even tighter. The fear inside her grew, and she felt it in every beat of her heart.
She cautiously peeked out from behind the pillow, her face covered in sweat—a clear sign of how frightened she was. She was scared of what tomorrow would bring, scared of facing people and society, and scared of being exposed.
All the things that used to bring her joy were now on the list of things she wanted to erase from her mind. If this continued, she knew it would be difficult to accept her own feelings.
It felt like she had bottled up her emotions, wanting to enjoy her day the way she used to when she was with Faith.
