“You should also keep an eye on the news, lady. That might work,” Adam remarked, attempting to be less rude to the young lady.
“My apologies. In any case, you should leave, as it’s not a place for a decent man like you. Just a small concern from a man who indirectly rejected me,” Hader said as she stood up and gave Adam one final glance.
“I had a pleasant companion, thanks to you, too,” Adam grinned as Hader nodded slightly before walking away.
As she walked away, Adam kept his eyes on her, feeling a mix of intrigue and uncertainty. His meeting with this woman named Hader had left him with more questions than answers, but at that moment, he couldn’t ignore the strange connection he felt with Hader and the mysterious bar that seemed to have its own secrets. It didn’t seem to be a normal motel at all.
