Chapter 25
“Seriously, can’t I come over to help you with a makeover?” Selina whined for the thousandth time as they made their way out of her department.
The feathery snow was beginning to cover the grounds, marking the beginning of winter, which was much anticipated by Ayleen. It was strange, and her sisters used to call her crazy for loving a season that was both bone-chilling and lethargic. But to Ayleen, it was something to take refuge in. It fascinated her, speaking to the loneliest parts of a person, digging out their fears.
But today, the weather was a bit gloomy, reflecting her heart, and to top that, she was missing her parents too much. Like always, Selina was there to cheer her up.
It was a thing about her; she could literally appear out of nowhere, sensing her mood, like a knight in shining armor.
