Chapter 57. They Keep Coming

Jimmy couldn’t leave Becky and Rufus behind. Instead of running with them right behind him, he started running towards them.

He offered his shoulder for Becky to lean on. “You need to catch your breath,” he said. Casting his gaze on Rufus, “Are you alright, Buddy?” he inquired.

Ever since Jimmy figured out how to handle his newly acquired power, he has felt an accelerated strength in him. He could run all night without stopping to catch his breath.

“I will live,” Rufus snorted. He continued to pant to catch his breath.

Jimmy was about to let out another word when the creatures from Planet Z emerged out of the treacherous darkness and surrounded them.

Jimmy smirked to himself as he cast a meaningful glance at them. “Turn away and you will live!” he said in confidence. It’s just a dozen of them and he’s certain he could handle them without help.
