Chapter 37

Riek's POV 

"It's not something to thank me for." I blushed knowing that he didn't know why I'm thanking him. I did that because comparing Conri and him together, their differences stood out clearly. While I found contempt and anger in the presence of Conri despite all that he did to please me, most especially the millions of dollars he offered to me, I'm filled with much pleasure, sensation and butterflies in my stomach. I haven't known him for long but I find myself so close, conversant and intimate with him, even without a kiss. 

As I lay with him in bed, a thought comes into mind. Oh God! I'm a great fool. I'd not paid much interest to my son, Fridolf. What a fool I am, I began to feel guilty and it showed on my face.

"What's going on?" He asked.
