Chapter 33. Bethany's Secret

Still Dominic’s POV

I sat on my seat in my office, waiting for my Beta and generals. I’m going to find out what Bethany has been hiding in her bag. Yes, I’m going to invade her privacy, but it’s a necessary evil, I just have to do it, it inevitable 

I’ve been putting it off for some time now, I guess I’m too scared to find out the truth, I don’t know what I’ll do if my suspicions turn out to be true, for her sake, I just hope she isn’t hiding anything too dangerous from me, it would break my heart if she betrays me, I would never be able to trust her again, I won’t even have the courage to look into her eyes anymore. I’m just praying that her rebellion hasn’t gone beyond redemption, I hope she hasn’t teamed up with enemies, that would only mean that she has lost all sense of reasoning and I’ll be forced to punish her for betraying me and my people.

Dwayne was the first to walk into my office, followed by Carl and Harriet. With the frown on their faces, you could tell
