“You promised me I would see Edison again, Ralph… When can I see him again?”

Her question destroyed all the good things playing inside my head and I felt like something had trampled against my chest, giving me that heavy feeling of realization that it is just too good to wish for a perfect dream like that.

“You will see him later, love. We will meet them in the forest at the edge of the boundary,” I whispered to her and kissed her forehead gently.
