Chapter 53. The Beast I Have to Tame

I had to move fast and pack the things I had before I stayed in the Pack Manor. I didn’t know why it mattered, though. I only had old raggy clothes, a pair of old shoes, and the black handkerchief that Master Ralph gave me after we said our goodbyes that night when I was sent to Alpha Edison’s place.

I took the black handkerchief inside my bag, where I kept my old things. I was so devastated with utter sadness as I felt the softness of the fabric in my hands. I still couldn’t believe what Master Ralph told me. I couldn’t believe I was that important to him. But whatever we felt for each other, it was already too late. We couldn’t take back the time and fix everything.
