Chapter 55. Survive

It pissed me off that he couldn’t handle his own councilors and stop them from deciding things for him. He’s the Alpha King, right? But it was useless to tell him about it. I was leaving and I never wanted to deal with all his crazy antics.

I was done hoping for him to see the real me and wishing to get into his confusing heart. His heart and mind were like a complicated labyrinth and no matter how much I wanted to know more about him, it scared me that I might find out something I would surely regret. Just like he told me, I am just someone to warm his bed.

But to be honest, I couldn’t get the curiosity out of my mind after he told me we were going to some place to show me something. But it’s too late to turn back now. I chose to leave. It was the best for both of us, no matter how desperate I was to believe that I was slowly getting into his heart. But the way he treated me, it was impossible. I couldn’t let him torture me like that for the rest of my life.
