Chapter 11

Claire's POV

Hunter was annoyed and impatient as he waited for me by leaning against the car with his arms folded across his chest. He seemed to be in a hurry. I gave myself a grin and a laugh.

He looked at me seriously and raised an eyebrow. "Are you finished? I'd rather go now than have to wait until next year." He barked.

I rolled my eyes and started walking toward him, but all of a sudden I wanted to run away from him as fast and far as I could. On the other hand, that annoying and stupid voice in my head kept telling me that if I did it, it would be the stupidest mistake I've ever made in my whole life.

I was surprised when Hunter opened the door for me, raised his arm, and told me to get in as I got closer to the car. As I got into the car, Hunter took my bag. I sat down and then closed the door.

He got in the car, turned the key, and drove away a second later. As I sat there, I felt like I had lost and was a little bit broken.
