Claire's POV
The witch's eyebrows went up. "That has nothing to do with you." Her voice was short, and it was clear she didn't want me to know. This made me angry because I thought I had a right to know what would happen to my wolf. But I didn't have much time left and had to get this cure back to Hunter.
I narrowed my eyes because I thought she should give me a better answer than that. "Just tell me she'll be fine, will you?" I asked her because I wanted to make sure nothing bad would happen to her.
She didn't answer; she just nodded and closed her eyes again. Next, the witch put her hands on my chest and made it hard for me to breathe. She started mumbling to herself, but I couldn't understand what she was saying. Then she started talking faster and louder, which put more pressure on my chest and made it hurt like fire. As I gasped for air, my chest felt heavy, and now I had a sharp pain that spread through my whole body.
