Chapter 11
Eleanor POV
For the first time in as long as I could remember, I woke up without being startled by someone entering my room.
The bedroom door was closed. If anything, I had slept without being bruised, yelled at, scolded, beaten, or abused.
I couldn’t help the small smile that formed on my lips before I checked the time, my eyes widening when I saw it was just a few minutes to six in the morning.
The last thing I wanted to do was annoy Liana, and I knew I needed to find the kitchen first, so I quickly got up to freshen up before getting dressed.
I put on a new dress; the one I had worn yesterday was wrinkled, and I knew it would need ironing before being seen again. I tied on a white apron, reminding myself of Liana’s instructions, and tied my hair into a bun.
