Eleanor POV
I hung the Alpha’s jackets, finally letting myself exhale after finishing his laundry.
The suite smelled fresh, the clothes neatly folded and hung. For the first time in as long as I could remember, I hadn’t been hit, yelled at, or punished. I felt… calm. A strange, almost foreign sense of contentment settled over me.
Still, the work had been exhausting. His laundry alone had taken hours—far longer than I expected. Initially, I had thought I’d be done by midday, but now it was past nine in the evening. Liana had kept me busy, but she’d also forced me to take breaks—small meals, a cup of coffee here and there. The luxury of having coffee without fear or punishment was almost dizzying, and I silently thanked her for it.
