Everything was a blur for me, as Ace was panicking, he couldn’t calm down, looking hysterical and blaming it on Ophira and himself.
I wanted to stop him from losing himself so I reached out his hand, gently squeezing it and assuring him, “Clam down, my love. Breath for me. I am not dying here.”
His angry eyes, glaring at everyone he sees, suddenly softened at my touch, and brushed his thumb on my hand.
Everything seemed to calm down now with Ace feeling at ease. I suddenly felt like sleeping again and when I woke up, a strange woman was staring back at me, her bright blue eyes were looking back at me, and a hint of curiousness was evident,
I sat upright in alert, backing away from her and realizing who and why the hell is there a stranger here, “Who and what are you doing here?”
I think she is a bit older than me, in her early thirties. Her wrinkles showed as she smiled at me gently.
