Chapter 51. Abducted
Talitha’s POV
The darkness of the night came with the wind blowing through the dry frames into the tiny cottage with so much gusto and pride. My fingers held on tightly to the mattress biting my bottom lip nervously.
The tears wouldn’t stop since I woke up and slept shortly after. Tears, a powerful companion in this travail soaring above reasoning as I followed it, lead crushing hard, soft and stopping when the tears refused to drop.
The sky clapped, lightning and heavy thunderstorms ushering the heavy downpour of rain.
The tears began to slip from my tear duct like a floodgate as the memories of the good, bad and ugly moments. Heart searing into halves and the sobs broke free harder than before in synonym with the turbulent downpour.
Why did mother have to leave without taking me along with her? I’ve given up and accepted her demise. Tabitha wouldn’t abandon her only child for five years without a trace.
