Chapter 59. Guilty

Talitha’s POV

My body felt like I was hit by a sledgehammer coupled with a thousand splinters of light tearing to blind my vision the moment I set my eyes open.

“Good to see you again.” The healer announced with a dark smile. I realized she was sitting closely to me in bed. There was no gentleness or peace in her eyes; everything screamed anarchy- what has gone wrong again? Is Hades safe and if he was then what got her so troubled to this extent?

I nod unable to reply from the roughness in my throat. I wanted to sit up properly but a sharp pang on my lower belly had me screaming as I held onto my abdomen.
