Chapter 62. The Banquet
Talitha’s POV
It’s a saying that sometimes the past gets better than the present and that’s how I felt when I watched everyone who I thought had my back couldn’t believe my truth. They tagged me a murderer and joined the mob to criticize me. Out of fear for my life I thanked the Alpha deep down for keeping me in the confines of my chambers or I would be killed by the vile townspeople. The guards were hostile, the maids clicked their eyes angrily in my direction delivering my meals.
Weeks have come and gone the last time the Alpha visited my prison he only came to get intimate with me exercising his rights but I could see it in his eyes.
