Chapter 20. Ambushed

Liam’s POV

It was a very rare occasion that I had an invite for a pack party without a plus one. Usually the Alpha was expected to be seen with his mate, or at least someone on his arm. But the specific instructions I got were for me to attend alone. From the ones I’ve attended alone previously, I had remembered they would get extremely messy. I’d never had to behave myself in front of Celeste, so I let loose. Probably a good idea these nights only occurred very rarely.

I pulled up to the location, a place one of these gatherings had never been held before. And as suspicious as it had sounded, I decided to go along anyway. What’s the worst that could happen with a pack gathering?

The building appeared derelict from the exterior, and checking my directions on the app on my phone, I knew I had the correct place. Was this some kind of wind up? Were the boys having a laugh with me? I chuckled to myself, deciding to play along with whatever they had planned.
