Chapter 28. Julian’s Regret
Liam’s POV
Driving slower than I normally would, the legal speed limit, I watched the Police Car in my rear view mirror. After speeding, I had slowed my pace down until the Cops had stopped following us. The last thing we needed now is to be pulled over.
“I have a question for you,” Julian spoke, breaking the tense silence between us. The heat between us in Amara’s house seemed to have calmed down somewhat.
“Hmmm?” I asked, my eyes still on the car behind. I felt Julian’s eyes on me, almost judgemental of me. I wondered what he was going to ask. My fingers gripped at the steering wheel as my gaze switched from the road ahead, to the Police car behind.
It had gotten dark now, and along the country road between town and Celeste’s Family home there was very little lighting. Thankfully it wasn’t too far to travel by car between the two locations.
