Chapter 41. You Will Be Strong
Celeste’s POV
After feeling as rested as I could, I decided to take the journey to my family home. I hadn’t told Julian where I was going, in fact I lied to him and said I was pulling an extra shift at the diner.
Public transport was an absolute pain in the arse. I had to consider taking my driving test after this and getting a car. The bus was rammed full, the stop from town to the stop nearest Stone Manor didn’t take too long by car usually, but today this bus was calling at every single stop between.
I eventually arrived at the front door and my heart raced with nerves, the last thing I wanted was to confront Evelyn again. After this I never wanted to see her cruel face again.
