Chapter 224

Avena had never felt so trapped in her life as she did in that moment. Her back was pinned to the wall and the Beta had one hand blocking her from the side while the other held her in position. Her skin beneath his grip tingled with a sensation Avena came to know only after she had met him but but she had no time to marvel in the perks of the mate bond. She had an angry Beta to deal with.

“ Won't you deliver the herbs?” His grip around her arm tightened causing her to grimace.

“ What are you saying?” She asked not understanding what he was hinting at. She had no idea was he was behaving this way with her. She tried her best to loosen his painful grip around her but failed.

“ You're hurting me” She finally whimpered.

“ Does it really hurt?” She heard him snicker. “ Well this is nothing compared to the pain I feel after finding out I was given a damned mate again.”
