Chapter 58

Haven's could feel her heart pounding against her chest as she laid there, pretending to still be asleep. She could hear his footsteps approaching which only made her heart beat faster.

She laid there, unmoving trying to pretend she hadn't woken up yet. To be honest, she still couldn't believe the Moon Goddess would do this to her.

Why him ? Why him of all people?! When she had wondered what the new moon would bring for her, she never in her wildest dreams thought this would be what Selene would bless her with.

It was simply ridiculous!

Hearing him walking closer didn't help matters. With the way her heart was beating, she silently prayed and hoped he wouldn't hear. It would be so embarassing if he did.

After a while, she heard the footsteps stop leaving her wondering what had happened. She felt the soft mattress beside her caved in as someone sat on it. Haven felt those sparks again as his touched her forehead, gently moving away some of her hair.
