Chapter 220

Avena set down the bundle of firewood she was holding on the ground. Using her hands to wipe away the sweat on her forehead, she sighed in relief.

“ One, two, three, four…. “ She counted the bundles she had arranged neatly by the fireplace. “ And, six. Just one more bundle to go Avena.” She told herself with a smile. Today she was decided to gather seven bundle of wood incase anyone from the village came looking for one.

Along with the wood, she had brought some more herbs too. Most of it was for the old healer who lived in the village. It would be used to make the last portion of medicine for the sick beta who had recovered quite well these pasts months.

Avena had seen him once before, when he was brought here in his berserk state. It was saddening to see him in such a state, even if she had no connection to him. It was so heartbreaking to see anyone in that state and that was why she had tried her best to help in the little way she could.
