When I got back home, I sniffed the air. It smelt different. My brow furrowed in confusion and worry. Olivia's scent was pronounced, but I could tell that she wasn't alone.

Jonas!

My heart thumped in my chest, and I raced in the direction of her scent. If that bastard was anywhere close to my Kitten, I was going to rip him limb from limb.

I ran to the garden, and I stopped dead in my tracks. I glared at my kitten, and beside her was the Councilor's son, Jaxon.

I glared at him and stood up straight. I strode to my kitten, completely ignored her, and turned my sights on her 'friend'.

"I can see that you managed to find your way back here again."

His dark eyes had glints of subtle ferocity as he stared back at me.

"I was just about to leave. I just wanted to check on Olivia and know if she was okay and ask if she needed help catching up on school work."

I glared at Olivia, but she stared at me silently and looked worried
