When I got back home, I sniffed the air. It smelled different. My brow furrowed in confusion and worry. Olivia's scent was pronounced, but I could tell that she wasn't alone.

My heart thumped in my chest, and I raced in the direction of her scent. If that bastard was anywhere close to my Kitten, I was going to rip him limb from limb.

I ran to the garden, and I stopped dead in my tracks. I glared at my kitten, and beside her was the Councilor's son, Jaxon.

I glared at him and stood up straight. I strode to my kitten, completely ignored her, and turned my sights on her 'friend'.

"I can see that you managed to find your way back here again."

His dark eyes had glints of subtle ferocity as he stared back at me.
