Chapter 18. Already the Perfect Luna

My mouth fell wide open. My mother was forced on André? I was astonished. I didn’t know what to say. I looked him in the eyes, but he remained cool and calm, obviously waiting for me to recover from the shock of the entire news.

“Do I go on?”

I nodded wordlessly, and he continued to speak.

“This arrangement was strictly business, and I would take care of her needs, but her position as Luna would be revoked as soon as I found my mate. At the time, she agreed and signed it. I gave her a copy.”

I watched as he reached into his bag and pulled out a document. He handed it over to me, and I opened it, my hands trembling.
