Jonas’ POV

We left the dining room and walked back to my father's meeting room.

Lily tried to support me as I walked, but I beat her off.

“Don't you dare touch me!”

We made our way to the meeting room, the air thick with tension. I sank into the sofa, feeling the weight of everything pressing down on me. My hands instinctively reached for the box of tissues on the table, and I started dabbing at the blood that was trickling from my nose and lips. The warmth of it against my skin only seemed to make the situation feel more real, more unbearable.

The room was heavy with silence. No one spoke; no one knew what to say. Instead, we just exchanged looks, each of us unsure of how to break the stillness. It was uncomfortable, the kind of silence that felt like it was suffocating the air around us.
