Chapter 221. Tell Us Who You Really Are

André’s POV 

“No!”

It happened so fast. The sound of polished metal cutting through flesh. Blood sprayed all over Doran. I expected it to be over but Doran had missed. Instead there was a blur, followed by two light thuds on the ground.

We looked up and saw Jonas, four feet away from Doran. One of his men has pulled him away to safety before Doran’s blade could slice his head.

Jonas’ eyes were wide, threatening to pop out of his eyes. He raised his arms to his face; his hands were no longer there.

Blood sprayed wildly like a fountain. At Doran’s feet lay two hands. A pale finger was twitching on one of them.

“Ahhhhhh!”

Jonas screamed, rolling madly in the bloody grass. His cries piercing the sky as the pain and realization finally reached his brain.

I was in shock. I couldn’t take my eyes off the twitching fingers on his severed hand.
