Chapter 120

Keenan’s POV

Three days later the court was in session.

It had been a harrowing task but I had managed to find a corpse that had a strong semblance to Aesha and together with Raya and Lord Tibet’s daughter we were able to get the body to look exactly alike. We also put on Aesha’s dress for her and Aesha placed a locket she and her father held dear around the corpse’s neck so it could appear as real as possible.

I had delivered the body just like I had been instructed but I had no idea what Lord Christopher did with the corpse afterwards.

We were in court now and as usual I took my spot behind Thallus’s at his right side.

As the ministers were arguing about tax increments someone barged into court panting.

“How rude! What you seek had better be worth it,” shouted Lord Christopher.

“I apologize my lord, Your Majesty …”

“Take a moment to catch your breath,” said Thallus.

“Your Majesty, Lord Tibet’s daughter has been found.”
