Keenan’s POV

We were able to leave Qing without any problems. Although I had put Raya’s mind at ease I had not been completely sure myself that we would leave the place so easily. But one thing I knew was that the vampire my blood had helped restore his sanity was going to look for me. I had a nagging feeling that somehow our fates were intertwined and what had just happened was not a mere coincidence. I tried not to think of this but it still bothered me.

“Why Daniele?” I asked Raya out of the blue as I recalled her act at the medic shop.

“Huh?” For a moment she had no idea what I am talking about.

“You want us to name our child Danielle?” I asked her with a grin. I had to admit that her acting skills back there had been really impressive. Even I had started to think that I was dying at some point.

“Why? You don’t like it? Danielle is a pretty name,” she replied and we both laughed.

“Did you ever consider doing theatre?” I asked her.
