Chapter 40

Camilla’s POV

“Drink some lemon water, Santiago and I have work to do.” Alpha Adrian rises from his seat.

“Actually, we did nothing today.” Santiago relaxes in his chair.

“Oh, can you take us to see a movie then?”

“I don’t think so.” Alpha Adrian retorts.

“But— Camilla would like to see the new movie.” Mirabelle pouts.

“Okay, we will go.”

“And have dinner?”

“We can have dinner after the movie.” He pauses and looks at me. “Get some rest Mia.”

My cheeks flare up with heat. He turns to Adrian and they both leave.

“Get some rest Mia.” She mimics Adrian and I smack my head.

“Stop.”

“Are you kidding me, never do you know how long I’ve wanted to try this?” she laughs. “I just manipulated Adrian without even trying. What are you doing to my brother Camilla?” She smiles.

Her question doesn’t need an answer and even if it did need an answer, I wouldn’t know what to say. I don’t remember what she’s talking about and
