Jaxon POV

Smoke curled into the sky from the southern district, where my businesses stood. The rogue wolves didn’t even bother hiding. They scattered the streets in broad daylight, smashing windows, setting fires, tearing apart everything I built brick by bloody brick.

"Jaxon!" Ronan’s voice crackled through my earpiece, barely audible over the shouts and sirens.  

"They’re hitting the North side too! We’ve got civilians trapped inside Thorne Industries!"
