Chapter 15. Witch Land

Leia - POV

"Leia, go to your room. If you don't, I will pick you up myself," Xavier said sternly after asking me to ignore Kai's hurtful words. I don't know why I care about Kai. I hardly know Kai and Xavier, but it sometimes feels like more than a normal bond.

"Leia, you won't listen," Xavier's voice broke me out of the stupor.

"Well, Leia, you are having trouble deciding," Veronica interrupted, glancing at the dining room door where Kai had left after arguing with Xavier about not letting me stay around or even keeping me at the job, despite my proficiency.

"Leia!" Veronica called again, and I stood zoning out while Xavier looked at me with concern.

"Sorry. What were you saying?" I asked, refocusing my attention.

"I suggested to Alpha Xavier that he let you go with me to witch land," Veronica said. I blinked at her, puzzled. "The reason is to identify if you have supernatural or human."

"I'll come with you," I agreed, and Veronica smirked,
