Adrianna’s POV

The first place Bianca took me to was the garden, where we walked around for a few minutes.

“This is the place Hazel loved to visit the most,” she said as she bent and inhaled the flower.

“She must have really loved plants,” I said in a small voice. Bianca turned, smiling faintly.

“She does, now Adrianna, do you also love plants?” she asked with a serious gaze.

I nodded, “Really?” she asked.

“Yes, I do. I grew up making friends with a few in my garden,” I said as I scratched my hair.

She burst into laughter, “You made friends with plants?” she said as if that was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard.

The way she laughed brightly made me smile, “Yes, when I was young. I barely had friends except for my cousin,” I said, remembering how Giselle made my mood turn sour.
