Adrianna’s POV
My eyes fixed on his soaked shirt as my breath hitched in my throat, “How…” I didn’t finish my statement when he held my hand.
My gaze snapped to his face, and he took a sharp breath, “That’s not my blood, Anna,” he said with a sigh.
A crease formed between my brows, as I didn’t believe his words, “Let me see.” I said, staring at his shirt.
His lips pursed into a thin line, before he slightly pulled away, he unbuttoned his shirt, exposing his bare chest, with no traces of any scar.
My eyes scanned his chest, seeing nothing odd, and a breath of relief tore through me.
“You see,” he said as he held my hand and placed it on his chest.
“I won’t lie to you,” he said with a pout.
My eyes narrowed. Didn’t he just lie a few moments ago?
“I need to bathe,” he said suddenly. I slumped deeper into the couch, “Okay.” I said as I waved for him to leave.
