Chapter 96. I Miss You

Adrianna’s POV

He leaned forward, his breath fanning my cheek as his hand snaked around my waist, pulling me closer.

A gasp escaped my mouth. “What are you doing?” I asked, my eyes widened.

His lips curved slightly. “I miss you,” he blurted.

I wanted to roll my eyes so bad, yet I held myself back. “Come, you need to sit,” I said as I placed his hand around my neck.

Slowly, we walked together to the bed. Immediately, I removed his hand from my neck, and he slipped and collapsed on the bed.

He lay flat with his chest on the bed and some of his legs out of the bed. “Anna,” he called softly.

I shook my head, my hand resting on my waist, staring at him. How did he get so drunk?

I exhaled heavily as I sat at the edge of the bed. I positioned his legs on my thigh. I removed the boots from his feet.
