Chapter 91. Missing
Kael’s POV
“I don’t understand,” I said as I set my cutlery down on the table, then I tilted my head towards Marcus.
He placed his hand behind him, before he continued, “When the guard confessed it was Theron who sent him, some soldiers and I went to his house, but when we got there, his family were all in tears, saying they had not seen Theron,” Marcus said with a serious gaze.
My hand rubbed under my chin before I shifted my gaze to Adrianna. “You can continue eating without me,” I said to Adrianna, who had stopped eating and was staring at us.
She nodded, then I smiled as I stood. “Wait for me outside,” I instructed Marcus without looking at him.
I leaned forward, my lips pressed into hers as my hand held her neck, the kiss was brief before I pulled away, my eyes caught hers.
“I will be coming back late or probably by dawn. Don’t stay awake and wait for me, okay?” I said, staring at her already swollen, moist lips.
She blinked hard
